Expected Outlook for 2022 and Beyond

Technology continues to remain one of the strongest industries heading into 2022. During the pandemic, IT was the least affected segment. According to Staffing Industry Analysts, in 2022 we will continue to see a wave of digital initiative and cloud adoption that will indicate an expansion into STEM verticals (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Furthermore, IT projects that were previously delayed are moving forward. We may achieve an all-time high in the fastest growth since 2012 when it was up 10% to now potentially being up 9%.

Finance and accounting was hit hard by the pandemic as well as automation, but according to Staffing Industry Analysts, they estimate a bounce-back of 14% in 2021, and 5% expansion in 2022. Similarly, marketing and creative jobs declined in 2020 but are forecasted to have a 15% bounceback in 2021 and a 7% growth in 2022.
